GREAT BENEFITS! (Medical, Dental, 401K Match) COMPETITIVE SALARY! GENERAL JOB SUMMARY Coordinate and strategically lead operational performance improvement within our plants. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Drive cost reduction throughout operations organization. Maintenance of Operational Excellence Program. Lead plant improvement project teams to drive cost reduction. Evaluate key performance metrics within plant in order to make recommendations for cost improvement. Facilitate brainstorming with plant employees at all levels to drive ideas and pipeline projects. Perform capability analysis on product measures to optimize upper and lower control limits. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide and grow expertise in analysis based on data driven decision making, including effective collection and monitoring of metrics used to assess, prioritize and select improvement projects. Report on performance of projects at facilities of responsibility. Other projects as necessary. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills that build productive relationships and influences others, both within the business and across organizations. Demonstrated ability to put in place a program of action, develop comprehensive training programs at all levels, complete with accountability and follow-through to achieve required results. Must have a strong track record of collaborating effectively with others in the spirit of common objectives. Demonstrated application of World Class manufacturing principles, achieving operational and maintenance excellence. Previous experience with applying lean and Six Sigma methods in operations would be very beneficial and a consideration in selection. Demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control tools to improve quality and reduce cost in a manufacturing process. Some travel will be required to support the plant sites in developing expertise on continuous improvement / lean methodology. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science, or related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years related business process analysis and improvement experience, which includes; two (2) or more year’s facilitation/leadership experience reflecting measurable improvements and lean transformations. Excellent organization skills and ability to effectively multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
